Mesh Pool Safety Gates

The gate component of a mesh pool fence is crucial to the overall safety and functionality of the system. It serves as the primary access point to the pool area and is key in regulating and controlling entry. A properly designed and installed gate ensures that only authorized individuals can access the pool area, preventing unsupervised access and reducing the risk of accidents. Gates should include a self-closing mechanism and a secure locking system to enhance their safety features. By maintaining and using the gate correctly, pool owners can create a safe environment, ensuring that children and pets are kept away from potential pool dangers when unsupervised.

At Nevada Pool Fence, we offer two types of safety gates:

  1. Framed Gates: These gates feature a full frame around the unit, providing easy removal and accessibility. They are typically the preferred choice of homeowners due to the fact they come as a single unit, making them easier to manage. Because they are one piece, framed gates need fewer adjustments over time. However, they have a slight step (around 2 inches above the ground), which may be an inconvenience for some.
  2. Barless Gates: These gates, as the name suggests, do not have a frame around the unit. They are made up of two separate pieces – the swinging part and the latch – attached to different bars. While this design does not affect safety, it does require removal in two separate pieces, which can be slightly more inconvenient. The advantage of barless gates is that they do not have a step, making them a great choice for those who prefer a step-free entry.

Both types of gates are designed to keep children and pets out of the pool area effectively. The choice between a framed or barless gate ultimately depends on the homeowner’s specific needs and preferences.
